Cookie Policy

The cookies Nuptria sets itself to run the app are strictly necessary and don't require consent. Three things only happen once you've agreed in a banner: usage analytics with Google Analytics, advertising measurement with the Meta Pixel, and Google Maps address suggestions on the Events and Timeline pages. More on each below.

Cookies we set

Cookie	Purpose	Duration
sessionid	Keeps you signed in and remembers your session	2 weeks
csrftoken	Protects forms against cross-site request forgery	1 year
django_language	Remembers the language you chose	1 year
nu_ads_consent	Remembers whether you accepted or declined advertising measurement	1 year
nu_analytics_consent	Remembers whether you accepted or declined usage analytics	1 year

All five cookies are strictly necessary for Nuptria to work or to remember your consent choice (§ 25(2) TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and are never used for tracking or advertising.

Local browser storage

Nuptria also uses your browser's local storage for purely functional purposes — for example, remembering whether the sidebar is collapsed, or that you've already dismissed the waiting-list popup. This information never leaves your browser and is never sent to us.

What we don't use

Apart from Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel described below, which only run with your consent, Nuptria uses no analytics, marketing or advertising cookies.

Usage analytics (Google Analytics)

If you allow analytics in our cookie banner, Nuptria loads Google Analytics from Google Ireland Limited, so we can see how visitors find Nuptria and which pages and features couples use. It sets these cookies:

Cookie	Purpose	Duration
_ga	Recognises your browser across visits so visits can be counted as one visitor	2 years
_ga_<ID>	Keeps track of your current visit	2 years

With your consent, our server also sends sign-up and purchase events to Google. Details are in section 11 of our Privacy Policy. If you decline, or don't respond, none of this is loaded. You can change your mind at any time with the button at the end of the next section.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)

If you allow advertising in our cookie banner, Nuptria loads the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, so we can see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to sign-ups and purchases. It sets these cookies:

Cookie	Purpose	Duration
_fbp	Recognises your browser across visits so Meta can attribute sign-ups and purchases to our ads	3 months
_fbc	Stores the ad click ID when you arrive from a Meta ad	3 months

If you're signed in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta can also read its own cookies on its domains. With your consent, our server also sends sign-up and purchase events to Meta. Details are in section 10 of our Privacy Policy. If you decline, or don't respond, none of this is loaded. You can change your mind at any time:

Google Maps address suggestions

When you use the Events or Timeline pages and start typing a venue or address, Nuptria shows a banner asking whether you're okay with sending that text to Google Maps for suggestions — this loads a script from Google and may set Google's own cookies. If you don't respond, or decline, no Google script or cookie is loaded at all, and address suggestions and travel-time estimates stay off. Your choice is remembered only in your browser's local storage — it isn't sent to us.

Managing cookies in your browser

Apart from the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies, which you can switch off above, every cookie Nuptria sets is strictly necessary, so there's no individual toggle that disables one without limiting the app. You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser's settings — doing so may prevent you from staying signed in or remembering your language preference.
